Community Guidelines
Last updated 24 October 2026
Heda is a home for writers and readers. Dark stories, difficult themes and strong opinions belong in literature, and they're welcome here. What isn't welcome is hurting real people. These guidelines explain the difference.
1.Write it yourself
Heda celebrates human writing. Don't publish text generated by AI as your own work. Using Heda's Analyzer to find typos or contradictions is fine — it never writes for you, and the words stay yours.
Don't publish other people's work as yours. Quotes, homages and fan works should credit the original. See Copyright & takedowns.
2.Fiction can go dark — use content warnings
Violence, abuse, self-harm, addiction, war, explicit romance: stories can explore them. Add the matching content warnings when you publish, so readers can choose. Readers see a warning screen before the work opens.
3.Never allowed
- Any sexual content involving minors, in any form, real or fictional. We remove it and report it to the authorities.
- Harassment, threats, bullying or targeting real people, including in comments, stories and messages.
- Hate: attacking people for their ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar.
- Encouraging or glorifying real-world violence, terrorism or self-harm, or giving instructions to hurt people.
- Sharing someone's private information (address, phone, documents) without permission.
- Sexual content about real people, or intimate images shared without consent.
- Pretending to be another person or writer.
- Illegal content and scams.
4.No spam
Don't post the same work or comment again and again, flood people with messages, buy or fake followers and likes, or use bots. Heda blocks repeated copy-pasted posts and comments automatically.
5.Be kind with feedback
Honest critique helps writers grow — say what worked and what didn't, about the text, not the person. Everyone here started with an empty page.
6.Reporting and what happens next
Use Report on any work, comment, profile, story or message. You can also block anyone. A person reviews every report. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, warn the writer, limit their account, or close it. Serious or repeated breaches lead to permanent removal. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or write to us and we'll look again.
